Terms of Service
Effective 4 October 2026.
These terms apply when you install, access or use EasyMerge. In these terms, EasyMerge and we mean the EasyMerge service; you means the individual or organisation using it.
Beta scope
EasyMerge is currently a free public beta. It needs no payment card, has no trial clock, and the plans shown on Pricing do not apply during the beta. See the Billing & Refund Policy.
The current features, limits and behaviour are described in these docs. A feature, limit, availability statement or interface shown in the service is not a promise that the same feature will be available later or will operate without interruption. We may change, add, limit or retire a beta feature where necessary to operate, secure or improve the service. This can include review limits, supported model providers, repository settings, file exclusions, retention behaviour, integrations and the way findings are displayed. Upon the conclusion of the public beta period, your account will automatically transition to a standard Free Trial of our paid plans. We will notify you in advance before the beta period ends. No payment information is required until you explicitly choose to upgrade after the Free Trial.
We may perform maintenance, upgrades, investigations or emergency work that temporarily makes some or all of EasyMerge unavailable. We will try to communicate material planned changes through the service or these docs when practical, but the public beta does not include a committed service-level agreement.
Accounts and access
You sign in with GitHub and may connect only organisations and repositories that you are authorised to grant through GitHub. You are responsible for installing the GitHub App, choosing the repositories it may access, your organisation members' access, the security of your GitHub account, and the code, content and data you place in pull requests or support tickets.
EasyMerge relies on the access GitHub reports for an installation and checks it whenever a user opens the dashboard. If you lose access in GitHub, you lose the corresponding EasyMerge access.
You must provide accurate information where the service asks for it and promptly correct material changes. You must not share an account or deliberately allow an unauthorised person to use it. Notify us through Help & Support if you believe your GitHub account, an EasyMerge installation or a support ticket has been accessed without permission.
Organisation owners and administrators are responsible for deciding which repositories are included in an installation and for informing their members about the use of EasyMerge. An organisation's GitHub permissions, policies and membership rules remain in effect; these terms do not grant anyone additional rights to a repository or organisation.
Acceptable use
You must not use the service to break the law, infringe another person's rights, disrupt the service, bypass security controls or introduce malware into the support system. Do not use a review as the only basis for a safety, security, legal or production decision.
EasyMerge may suspend or end access when necessary to protect the service, users or third parties, or where use breaches these terms.
In particular, you must not attempt to probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the service without permission; interfere with another user's access; reverse engineer or scrape the service beyond what applicable law permits; use automated means to overload the service; submit deceptive content; or use EasyMerge to develop, distribute or facilitate malicious code.
You are responsible for making sure that the repositories, pull requests, attachments and other material you submit can lawfully be processed by EasyMerge and any providers used to provide the review. Do not submit secrets, passwords, access tokens or other credentials in support tickets or attachments.
AI-generated reviews
EasyMerge analyses pull-request diffs and offers review findings to assist you. Results can be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable for your context. Findings may omit relevant issues, identify issues that do not exist, misunderstand a repository's conventions, or become stale after the pull request changes.
You remain responsible for reviewing code, running tests, assessing security, obtaining any required professional advice and deciding whether to merge. EasyMerge does not approve, request changes to, block, push commits to, or run CI for your pull requests. A severity, score, summary or suggestion generated by EasyMerge is informational only and must not be treated as a guarantee of correctness, security, compliance or fitness for a particular purpose.
You must use human judgement before acting on a review. Where your work involves safety-critical systems, regulated activities, personal data, financial decisions or other high-impact use, you must apply appropriate independent controls and review processes.
Code, data and third parties
The way we process, retain and delete data is described in the Privacy Policy. The scope of source-code access and handling is set out in the Security & Code Privacy Policy. When you use GitHub or a supported model provider, their applicable terms and privacy policies also apply.
EasyMerge uses GitHub information and permissions only to operate the features you enable. It may rely on third-party infrastructure, model providers and service providers to deliver reviews, host the service, send notices or process support requests. Those providers may change their products, availability or terms independently of EasyMerge.
You are responsible for complying with any obligations that apply to your use of GitHub, third-party providers and the code or data in your repositories. If a third party's terms conflict with these terms, the third party's terms govern your relationship with that provider.
Ownership and feedback
You retain your rights in your code and content. You authorise EasyMerge to process that data only as needed to provide the features you enable. If you send feedback, you allow us to use it to improve the service without compensation.
EasyMerge and its interface, documentation, branding, software and service-generated materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the service under these terms, no licence or ownership right is transferred to you.
Feedback includes suggestions, reports, ideas, comments and improvement requests. You confirm that you can provide it, and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, modify and incorporate it into the service without attribution or payment. Please do not send information you consider confidential in feedback unless it is necessary for a support request.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the beta is provided “as is” and “as available”, without a warranty of uninterrupted, error-free or fit-for-purpose operation, or that it will find every security issue. There is no committed beta SLA; see Service level & incidents.
We do not warrant that EasyMerge will be compatible with every repository, programming language, workflow, browser, GitHub configuration or third-party product. We do not warrant that review findings will be complete, accurate, timely, non-infringing or suitable for your specific circumstances. You use the beta at your own risk.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that the law does not allow to be excluded. To the fullest extent permitted by law, EasyMerge will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses; loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data or business opportunity; or losses arising from a decision to merge, not merge, deploy or not deploy code based on a review. For other claims, each party's liability is limited as the applicable law requires and, where a separate commercial agreement exists, as that agreement provides.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using EasyMerge at any time by uninstalling the GitHub App from GitHub. Uninstalling stops future reviews and revokes the installation's access. The handling of data after uninstall is described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend, restrict or terminate access to all or part of the service if we reasonably believe that doing so is needed to protect users, EasyMerge or a third party; to investigate suspected misuse; to comply with law; or because you have breached these terms. Where appropriate, we may give notice and an opportunity to correct the issue, but we are not required to do so where delay could create harm or risk.
Changes and contact
We will update the effective date and notify you of material changes on this page or in the app. Continuing to use EasyMerge after the effective date accepts the updated terms. If you do not agree to an updated term, your remedy is to stop using the service and uninstall the GitHub App.
For account or product questions, create a ticket through Help & Support as described in the support guide. Report security issues through the vulnerability disclosure process. If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
